Francesco Fiorito: drums

Melting Clock’s style is characterized by evocative and powerful sounds, which aim at immediately capturing the listener - without giving up elements of complexity - and conveying a strong emotional charge. Lyrics are in our mother tongue, Italian.

DESTINATIONI develops the theme of travel in all its meanings. The dreamlike flavor of "Antares" contrasts with the harsh denunciation of society in "L’Occhio dello Sciacallo" and "Banalmente"; the suffocating alienation of "Vetro" dissolves in the redemption of "Strade Affollate"; "Caleidoscopio" and "Sono Luce" explore different facets of the inner journey, while "Destinationi" is a metaphor for the cyclical nature of Time. The journey of DESTINATIONI is characterized by sounds recalling the contemporary progressive scene in an original and creative way, with elements ranging from its more symphonic side to psychedelic rock and hints at acoustic or aggressive passages.

Instrumental opener “Alpha” could be easily be part of a film soundtrack. There is some Symphonic Prog excellence spread in here. Deep and epic melodies and an electrified atmosphere. The vibes of bands like ECHOLYN and THE ENID are combined under a very special classical approaching. During its crescendo parts the song will even bring into the foreground this very special SHADOW GALLERY touch...

“Land Of Decay” is one of the darkest and most esoteric compositions on the record. Topalide’s melancholic vocal melodies are combined with Bandi’s classically oriented and nostalgic keyboard themes. The overall orchestration and arrangement of this one brought into my mind some newer Prog Metal bands of our times like HAKEN -however the song was composed back on 2005-2006-.

The new album titled “A Way Out Of Here” not only offers a colourful palette of art rock with its nine songs, but also illuminates the essentials of life with all obstacles, fears and rays of hope. A song-serving brilliant band, analog synthesizers and epic choirs provide the basis for Yogi Lang’s gilmouresque voice.
The first symphonic wall of sound is only a few seconds away: “Move On” – obviously audibly linked to the debut work – gently pulls the listener out of everyday life. There are many personal experiences in “A Way Out Of Here”, which the album wants to convey in peace, without hustle and bustle, without false pathos. Love often seems to offer a possible solution for problems. “Love is All Around” and “Freedom Of The Day” believe in the ability of love and empathy to banish just about any problem to insignificance. But what if this “Way Out Of Here” does not exist? In “Shine On Me” the protagonist cannot accept the loss of his partner, just ignores it and in the last of the nine tracks “I’ll Be There For You” we also find the last promise to stay with a loved one to the very end, if necessary, at any cost. This already ends a multi-layered and very emotional journey through Yogi Lang’s world of thoughts.

“The World Conspires” is the fifth album and at the same time the beginning of a new phase in the musical development of BIRDEATSBABY, touching the spheres of modern Prog Metal for the first time. Reaching into these new avenues of musical inspiration, the English band fuse their genre of Dark Cabaret with harder progressive sounds without neglecting their roots. With “The World Conspires” BIRDEATSBABY have now returned with a soundtrack for the soulful, haunting, riotous celebration of life in all its facets. The album leads the listener on a roller coaster ride of drama and conflicting emotions. From the rich, orchestral and fragile album opener “Hold Your Breath”, a mantra for anyone who has gone through trauma, it continues with the mystical “Painkiller”, as well as the title song and its overwhelming ode to love, on to “Lady Grey”, which elegiacally and captivatingly walks through the shadows, before the musicians slow down with “How Do I” and let Mishkin’s sensitive voice float over soft piano sounds, accompanied by strings. The tragic “Box Of Razorblades” continues atmospherically until the last act is introduced with the extraordinary “Dido’s Lament” along with brilliant guest vocals by Feline Lang (Feline & Strange). In “Kill No One” the punk attitude of earlier days flashes up again before the last curtain falls with the spherical “Look Away”.
