Description/Reviews:
On Fear however, one will get a potpourri of Prog, Post Rock, Psychedelic, Krautrock, Fusion and Zeuhl, which is in its entirety everything else than chaotic. Fear actually sounds quite homogenous and has an almost soundtrack-like flow, whereas the cinematic part rather dips in TV series sound tracks of the 70s.

Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Anthony Armore (7, 8)
Description/Reviews:
The original music on this album features a hybrid between the progressive-fusion sonic approach and the world of chamber and orchestral music. Fafard’s compositions highlight Harrison’s innovative drumming through this intense and unique journey of epic proportions.
The album kicks in with Transmutation Circle, a piece where drums and electric bass interact with a string quartet, while Harrison provides occasional marimba parts to the music. The format on this first piece is the blueprint of almost half the album. Singular Quartz follows and showcases a different orchestration and where drums and bass play along a violin, cello, marimba and vibraphone.

Description/Reviews:
Helmet Of Gnats' sound is reminiscent of the classic Rock/Jazz Fusion movement of the early to middle 1970's. This classic lineup carries the torch that was lit by the originators of Fusion while bringing the music into new and uncharted territory. Challenging compositions, melodic passages and blazing execution are hallmarks of this band.

Remco Van Der Veen - Keyboards

Description/Reviews:
Music that has evolved and perhaps slightly changed since their previous album; Master Device & Slave Machines (2017). One of the reasons for this change is the absence of one of the initial members, songwriter and guitar player Wouter van der Veen, who has left the band and was replaced by newcomer Kay Bouten. Kay's guitar playing is a bit more metal and alternative than the heavy progressive approach of his predecessor. The other change are the songs itself. In my opinion, the band has left the well paved paths of progressive rock and metal and found themselves on the outskirts of powerful metal. Armed Cloud seems to be more extreme than before.

Description/Reviews:
New album “Walking Up That Valley” continues the line of development from the band’s past two releases, which dug more deeply into the Canterbury Prog only hinted at by the band’s first outings.
With the group’s maturity has come continued exploration, evinced in a plethora of instruments heard across the album: harpsichord, violin, flute, a choir and more add layers of sonic beauty to an album already bursting with ideas.
Between dreamy vintage keyboards, busy drums and percussion, mind-bending, jazz-tinged guitar work and deft bass lines, Klakegg’s soft and melodious voice finds room in the mix, tying the album together with tales from the road between reality and fantasy.

6. Land Of Depression (12:25)
From the start of the album, it’s pretty obvious that the band is very much influneced by Fates Warning. Emotionally and structurally, Artificial Eden follow the path of Fates in songwriting and performing of the whole material which is presented here. The band knows exactly when to dance the lines between progressive technical showcasing, soft passages of beauty or simply catchy melodies.

Description/Reviews:
“Samir” is a direct, powerful and intriguing album, twisted and unpredictable, passionate and modern, where Il Paradiso degli Orchi mix and reinvent once again their PROP(K) MUSIC with a trip through prog, rock, pop, psychedelia, Mediterranean hints and oriental scents, all being the soundtrack to the protagonist’s thoughts.
“Samir” is also the result of a collective work, in which all six musicians of the group took part, creating something strongly personal to give substance to PdO’s progressive rock model. Five tracks for about forty minutes of music where the band concentrate their imagination and move, compared to the previous records, towards more powerful sounds: epic and symphonic moments alternate with irreverent ideas and scratcy arrangements, made with an anarchic and punk attitude that often recalls the best Frank Zappa.

Description/Reviews:
Musically, it evolves on the same path of "Ellesmere II", so the main references are classic prog outfits Yes, King Crimson, Kansas, plus a good amount of jazz-rock, present in every song; but there are also references to contemporary progressive rock and to artists such as Transatlantic, Flower Kings and Spock's Beard. "Wyrd" is therefore a third epic and even more enthralling chapter than the previous one, almost completely instrumental and captivating from the first minute to the very last one.

Description/Reviews:
Embracing symphonic, progressive and Celtic influences, bitter sweet melodies intertwine with lush harmonies to create a majestic towering cathedral of sound, songs which traverse the dividing line between darkness and light, life and death, solitude and hope. Shards of light piercing a subterranean labyrinth.
ENTER finally get the wages of their many years of work, even if the days of her active career were a little longer ago. Because now the previously unreleased demo recordings by the Italians are finally being made available to the public and published under the album title "1991 - Images From Floating Worlds". ENTER played pure eighties Prog Rock, which is very unique due to its unusual performance. A keyboard virtuoso uses sacred tones to create a sound that the listener otherwise only knows from great keyboard luminaries of Prog Rock, and an exceptional singer sings even more eccentrically and extraordinary than the fan of ADRAMELCH is used to. ENTER lived, felt and played in their own world, which can now finally be rediscovered.
