Gwendolyn Wesley, ex-member of The Ritchie Family died.....

​Gwendolyn Wesley (21 July 1949 - 27 November 2020) has passed away. She was a singer who was part of the duo Gwen and Bruce, of the band Honey and the Bees and of the original lineup of the Ritchie Family from 1975 to 1978.

She married trumpeter Fred Wesley. Gwen was a member of the first incarnation of the iconic disco act The Ritchie Family, remember ‘The Best Disco in Town’. The group was conceived by producer team Jacques Morali, Henri Belolo and Richie Rome, who also were behind the Village People. Some quarrels in 1977 actually led to the entire group being replaced by three new girls, which also resulted in different sound. Even though they still had hits ("American Generation") they were never quite as successful as the original trio".
