Prog Supergroup Scoops Album Of The Year At Prog Awards.
Not only did Transatlantic perform live at this year's Progressive Music Awards, but they also scooped one of the evening's most prestigious awards.
The band, with Robin Boult filling in for the absent Mike Portnoy (who was busy with recording commitments back in the States), performed an acoustic version of the Kaleidoscope single Shine, followed by We All Need Some Light from their 2000 debut album SMPTE.
The next thing Messrs. Morse, Trewavas and Stolt knew, they were back up on stage receiving the prestigious Album Of The Year award for Kaleidoscope.
"We're over the moon to be invited," said Trewavas. "It's a fun evening with lots of people I know. I'm back in the studio with Marillion but I think Transatlantic is done and dusted for a while."
Still, Transatlantic fans can catch up with Mike Portnoy and Neal Morse when they play in London with Flying Colors in November.
