Alejandro Casademunt González commonly known as Àlex Casademunt (June 30, 1981 – March 3, 2021) was born in Vilassar de Mar,Barcelona, Spain. Àlex died in Mataró, Barcelona, in a car accident. The singer's car collided head-on with a bus near a roundabout on the Cirera highway in Mataró, Barcelona, Spain.

On February 24, 2014, he and his then-girlfriend Lucía Sánchez were arrested for attacking each other, both being released without charge shortly thereafter. It would not be his only controversy: in 2011 he was sentenced to a suspended sentence of 9 months in prison for assaulting another young man in a nightclub and in 2017 he was sentenced to a fine for fighting with a 21-year-old boy in a nightclub in Vigo, Galicia, and his attacker had to pay him 15,000 euros. On January 18, 2018, was born his only daughter, Bruna, the fruit of his relationship with Laia.
He was a Spanish singer, actor, and TV presenter who emerged from the musical contest Operación Triunfo 2001. While he was working as an appliance technician, in 2001 he saw an ad and decided to go to the 'casting' of the new music contest Operación Triunfo, broadcast by Televisión Española, and got elected. Being one of the most active participants, he was eliminated, and even being re-caught weeks later, he finished tenth in the competition.

After the competition, he formed the musical group "Fórmula Abierta" along with Geno Machado [es], Javián Antón [es] and Mireia Montávez [es], all of them also former contestants on the program. Together they recorded the album Aún hay más published on June 7, 2002, which included the song "Te quiero más", the biggest hit of the group. The singer David Bustamente [es], who was also a partner in the competition, asked him in 2002 to collaborate on the song "Dos hombres y un destino" ("Two men and one destiny") which became especially successful.
In 2003 he began a solo career as a singer. His first album Inquietudes de ella went on sale on 16 June. The album had 14 songs (five of them composed by him). Between 2003 and 2004, he began his career as a television presenter on the children's program Los Lunnis of TVE.

His acting career during those years is varied: OT: the film by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza in 2002, the musical Peter Pan: the musical and the television series by Miramón Mendi La sopa boba for Antena 3 in 2004. Later he continued working on television in other programs such as Crónicas marcianas of Telecinco and ¡Mira quién baila! on TVE in 2005 -where he participated as a contestant. That year he was the presenter of the concerts of the famous singer and child star María Isabel.
